OUT OF REMEMBRANCE – workshops

Our OUT OF REMEMBRANCE art project involved more than 100 4^th and 6^th Year students, split into 12 groups, each with its own professional artist for mentorship, drawn from a wide range of art forms. The project coincided with Belgian and international commemorations of the centenary of the end of World War I, but we broadened the theme to be a commemoration of victims of all conflicts, particularly those with personal resonance for individual students.

The professional artists who worked with these groups were: Luca Aussems (drawing), Sacha Eckes (magazine design), Ivan Eysackers (song), Mathias Goyvaerts (sculpture), Dafne Maes (dance), Maryam Najd & Ingrid Van Grimbergen (painting), Yannick Moyson and Seckou Ouologuem (slam poetry), Tim Segers (performance), Michel Vaerewijck (analogue photography), Julia Wlodkowski (stop-motion animation), May Oostvogels (sculpture).
